It doesn't matter that the stock market changes every few minutes because of rumors of decreasing demand for peppermint-colored widgets or reports that CitiBank's CEO has contracted a virulent case of herpes. It may matter to those who make (or lose) money betting on how stocks will perform - people who themselves perform no useful societal function - but it doesn't matter to the rest of us.
Furthermore, don't run anymore photos of Wall Street traders' woeful faces that look as if they just came home to find their entire family's heads on pikes - rather than dealt with a dip in the Dow Jones Industrials.
