#32: Don't vote for Hillary

So, you voted for Hillary during the primaries. You and 500,000 REPUBLICANS!

Do I have to explain that these Republicans--rightly--think a vote for Hillary is a vote for McCain? Hillary is, in a way, this election's Ralph Nader. If she wins the nomination, we're fucked. Yet again. Can't wait to see who'll end up sitting to the right of Alito, Scalia, Roberts, and silent Thomas.

I don't know a single moderate who would vote for Hillary Clinton. They hate her, just as their right-wing partners in crime do. Is their hatred over the top? Yes. Is it sexist? Of course it is. Even moderates can't stand a first lady who does more than wave around copies of Pippi Longstocking and talk about her four bloody years as a librarian as if they were yesterday. (They were 25 years ago, just a few short years after she ran a stop sign and killed one of her Midland High School classmates.)

I understand the temptation to vote for somebody that millions of people hate. God knows we have suffered for the past seven years. So tough shit, right? It's their turn to suffer for the better part of a decade. Ha ha ha.

There's just one little problem: She ain't going to win.

Finally, there is, in fact, a good reason for a good Democrat to despise Hillary: Her vote for the war. If she believed Saddam Hussein was the cause of 9/11, then she's unfit to be president. She's too stupid. But if she really believed George Bush's "intelligence" and truly didn't believe he would fuck up Iraq as he's done, and she truly believed all the Iraqi tribes would band together in a happy democratic society, then she needs to be put away somewhere quiet and safe because she is an absolute frothing-at-the-mouth-idiot.

In truth, we all know why Hillary voted for the war: She thought having some character and opposing it would blow her chances to become president. And what's more important: saving lives and trillions of dollars, or giving the Clintons another shot at the White House?
